2 Tijax: The Blade of Clarity + Healing

Today is 2 Tijax, the day of the obsidian blade. Tijax is the energy of healing through cutting, clarity, and letting go. It is the nawal of precision, discernment, and the ability to release what no longer serves, sharpening our vision and intention.

The number 2 carries the energy of duality, relationships, balance, polarity, and yes/no choices. Together, 2 Tijax offers us the opportunity to see clearly, make conscious decisions, and allow change to carve away illusion until only truth remains.

Over the years, I’ve learned that transformation doesn’t always manifest as dramatic fireworks; more often, it comes through small cuts, subtle shifts, and consistent daily pruning. Clarity emerges only after we allow shadow to be revealed—only when we use the blade wisely. The habits we refine, the patterns we release, the mental clutter we clear—each is part of Tijax’s sacred work.

Tijax guides us to the edge, to the point where nothing unnecessary remains. It teaches the art of discernment through sacred surgery—physical, mental, emotional, and energetic—removing what is diseased so that vitality and truth can thrive. In moments when life presses in and overwhelm accumulates, we can call upon Tijax’s energy to carve a path forward, choosing what to let go of with conscious awareness and grace.

The blade can cut deeply, but it is also a tool of healing. The wounds it makes, when guided by awareness, open portals for renewal. In that open space, we discover new alignment. We see what is true. We integrate our edges into a sharper, more vital self.

Maltiox, Nawal Tijax, for helping us cut through the veils of illusion and gain greater insight and perspective. Thank you for the healing—even the kind that comes the hard way—whether through literal surgery or the figurative removal of outdated beliefs, habits, and stories that no longer reflect our truth.

May 2 Tijax sharpen our vision, clear away what obscures, and lead us closer to our essence.
May we wield the blade with compassion and discernment, cutting fears, illusions, and confusion to step into greater clarity, power, and service.
May we choose peace, joy, balance, and love.
